Book - DayBook - Evening
The Day Book Group usually meets on the fourth Friday of the month at a member’s home at 12:30 pm. Light refreshments or a light lunch is often served. But it is up to the host what if anything is served. The Evening Book group meets monthly at members' homes. Books are chosen a month or two in advance by the host/hostess. The meeting is usually the second Monday of the month.
 
Book Group MorningsBread and Roses
Book Group - Mornings The morning book group meets at 9:30 on the 4th Wednesday of the month at a local restaurantLadies that enjoy camaraderie incorporated with a luncheon -- more fun and less glamour. A different hostess each month picks the menu and shares her ideas with others as to their contribution toward the meal. Held the third Wednesday of each month.
 
BreakfastBridge
Breakfast group meets the first and third Fridays of the month at 8:30 a.m. at the Best Western restaurant on Main Street, which could change if the attendees want to do so. This is a great way to meet people in a smaller setting. No reservation needed.Group plays regularly, often weekly, depending on the week.
 
Concert/Museum/Live TheaterCrafting
The Concert/Museum/Live Theater group is for those interested in cultural outings with other members. Join in for one, only some, or all offerings.The Crafting group offers an opportunity to get together to share your skills and/or learn new skills as well as work on independent projects. Crafting is optional, conversation is lively. Bring your latest project. Meetings are generally on the second Monday of the month (usually September to May).
 
CribbageCross Country Skiing
A just-for-fun (no muggins allowed!) gathering the first Monday of each month (except summer) to play cribbage: pairs, three-way, foursomes, or even three teams of two. For beginners or cribbage sharks alike.Spontaneous group. This is a winter group for people interested in cross country skiing on the spur of the moment. Meets as weather permits (often on weekends).
 
Dinner GroupDinner with Friends
The Dinner Group meets for monthly dinners on Saturday evenings (usually September to May) at regional restaurants. This group is for everyone - both couples and singles.Dinner with Friends, a Home Cooking group, meets about 8 times a year to share themed meals in homes. This group is for all "Foodies" - both couples and singles.
 
ExplorersGames
(Spontaneous Group) The Explorers group arranges for occasional day trips in the area & throughout Maine.Games group meets the second Tuesday of the month at 1 PM. The games (besides bridge, cribbage, and Majohng), will be chosen by the host, who can also decide what level of food they would like to provide (lunch, snacks or dessert). Come join for the fun, socializing and to exercise your brain. Open to all.
 
GardeningGolf
Gardening is a group devoted to sharing gardening information and plants, touring gardens, and creating an annual garden craft. Give us your ideas of gardens you'd like to visit or crafts you'd like to make. Just for fun golf gathering
 
Gourmet CookingHiking
The Gourmet Cooking Group meets at 11:30 AM on the third Wednesday of the month in members' homes. This group is limited to 10 due to space constraints.Hikes will take place week days or week ends. Hike details, such as difficulty level and length, will be communicated via email when the hike is planned.
 
Home BrewingHospitality Committee Group
The Home Brewing Group will meet to discuss brewing techniques and sample homebrewed and commercial beers. Members should bring samples and recipes to share with the group.A committee to provide hospitality/beverage services for large group functions. Not an interest group, but you are welcome to join if you are interested!
 
Kayaking/CanoeingLadies' Night Out
Spontaneous group. Kayaking/Canoeing is a summer/fall group for people interested in this activity on the spur of the moment. Meets as weather permits (often on weekends). No group chair, members should email the group to plan events.Ladies Night Out is a monthly dinner for women at various regional restaurants. The 'LNO' generally meet on a Wednesday evening, usually the first week of the month.
 
LunchMah Jongg
Meets at various restaurants at midday every month from September through June for lunch and conversation. Lunch Group often meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, or following a morning General Meeting.Meets at members homes on weekly basis. A card that displays 52 different hands is used as a guide. Beginners welcome. Open to both men and women.
 
Mens Non-Fiction Breakfast Book GroupMovie
The Men's Breakfast group meets at 9:00 AM, usually on the third Thursday of the month, at a local restaurant.Movie and dinner the last Sunday of each month. Movie and restaurant selection sent out the week prior.
 
Snowshoeing
Spontaneous group. Snowshoeing is a winter group for people interested in walking in the winter on the spur of the moment. Meets as weather permits (often on weekends).
